I, too, thought the "ick" outweighed the cute by several factors. If the kid knows it's just a reminder, then maybe--but if they're really thinking it runs back to Santa every night... I was disturbed by the creator's explanation of how to treat it, and how the kids are encouraged to talk to it, though it will never answer back. "Share your secrets with the elf, children!" Creep-o.
