I am so over McPhee. Apparently I’m not alone.
I’m all about Mandisa now, and fairly fond of Elliot too. But mostly Mandisa.
That’s all.

Watching American Idol last night and the phone rings… Turns out its the Nielsen Ratings folks. They sent us a packet a week or so ago saying they wanted us to be a Nielsen family. So this guy was calling to ask a few questions and tell me what they would be [...]

We were down in Modesto for the weekend. Birthdays for Sarah’s brother Jamey and for his daughter. Friday was Jamey’s – casino night at the ranch. I of course was one of the early losers in the Texas Hold ‘Em tournament. Saturday was the kids party at a place called Hopperz. [...]

I have an odd, love/hate relationship with coffee, if I’m honest.

Of course you were dying to know that.
But really, I have. For many years, through college and early marriage, I didn’t really drink coffee at all. Every once in a while maybe, but not at all regularly. I [...]

An interesting topic has come up in conversation with friends – a few times over the past months. The official name for it, I guess, is “Post Modern Christianity”. I first heard of that name from a friend who was reading a book called A Generous Orthodoxy.
I haven’t read the book, [...]

We went out to see Sarah’s horse today, and on the way stopped by to visit the land we’re buying. As it happened, the lady who is selling the land drove by and stopped, so we got to meet her, and talk to her.
Lots I could write about – she’s an intersting [...]

Warning… I’m going to rave about Buffy again. A lot. I apologize, sort of.
We’re in the middle of Season 2 now, and I just have to say that this show is incredible. The risks they take, the complexity of the story and the number of really great characters is like nothing I’ve [...]
