Spent the weekend in Modesto. We left Friday afternoon, our minivan stuffed full of two adults, four kids, and two dogs. Also luggage, a big gift bag full of hand-sewn presents for our new niece (Jordan) and a bunch of sweets that Sarah baked for the baby shower. It was pretty exciting.

Sarah’s sister-in-law, Laura has struggled for years with an eating disorder. In the past few months she’s in an all out war against that and panic attacks. She was in the hospital for a few days a couple weeks back, and she went back today. [...]

So for Christmas, one of the presents the Cowboy got was a couple of illustrated Bible books. One was the New Testament, and the other is Genesis. Not comic book Bible, like I had (and loved) as a kid, but the whole text, just with lots of illustrations.
